MICRO-NUTRIENTS  (vitamins & minerals)   Are you At RISK?

Are you chronically deficient in folic acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, iron, or zinc?

If you are chronically deficient in these specific micro-nutrients, your health may be At RISK.

The research below is completely independent.  It's the work of one of the leading scientists in the world in the

study of micro-nutrients and micro-nutrient deficiencies.  Bruce Ames is among the top few hundred most cited

scientists.  His bio is listed below which gives you an idea why his research is used by so many other scientists.

A review of his research (-by Dr. Daniel Murphy-) is linked on this webpage to give you a quick summary of what

the Ames research tells us about micro-nutrient deficiencies.  It is very alarming how much damage can be done

to our CELLS just because we are deficient in basic micro-nutrients.  - - - Please take a look at the REVIEW below.

MICRO-NUTRIENTS -  -  -

With the food supply that is available in the United States today, our meals each day could have

the perfect balance in fats, carbohydrates and proteins - but we could still have long-term, chronic

deficiencies in critically important micro-nutrients (vitamins & minerals).  According to independent

research, chronic deficiencies in certain micronutrients mimic radiation in damaging DNA by causing

single and double-strand breaks, oxidative lesions, or both - leading to cancer and other health problems.

The summary (review) is the work of  Dr. Daniel Murphy.

Bruce Ames is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of California, Berkeley, and a

Senior Scientist at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI).  He is a member of the National

Academy of Sciences and he was on their Commission on Life Sciences.  He was a member of the board of

directors of the National Cancer Institute, the National Cancer Advisory Board, from 1976 to 1982.  He was the

recipient of the General Motors Cancer Research Foundation Prize (1983), the Tyler Environmental Prize (1985),

the Gold Medal Award of the American Institute of Chemists (1991), the Glenn Foundation Award of the

Gerontological Society of America (1992), the Lovelace Institutes Award for Excellence in Environmental

Health Research (1995), the Honda Prize of the Honda Foundation, Japan (1996), the Japan Prize, (1997), the

Kehoe Award, American College of Occup. and Environ. Med. (1997), the Medal of the City of Paris (1998),

the U.S. National Medal of Science (1998), The Linus Pauling Institute Prize for Health Research (2001), and

the American Society for Microbiology Lifetime Achievement Award (2001).
His over 450 publications have resulted in his being among the few hundred most-cited scientists (in all fields).
